NATIONAL MENTION: Bradford continues to be a story on the national level, as the story about the workers at McDonalds who walked out has run in another media outlet. This time, it ran in The WEEK Magazine, according to Bradford resident Sam Sylvester, and was also mentioned in an editorial in the publication.
The story, written by Washington Post national reporter Greg Jaffe, ran Nov. 6 in the Post. The story was picked up and ran in other publications as well. Jaffe credits The Bradford Era and the story written by Daniella Griesbaum (printed Sept 7) with bringing the event to his attention, stating “I never would’ve found the one in Bradford without the Bradford Era’s coverage.”
The walkout occurred on the Sunday morning of Sept. 5.

KANE KINDNESS: The 25 Days of Kindness Challenge continues in Kane. Today’s challenge is to call someone just to catch up.
For Dec 9, the challenge is to share a local business’s social media post. If not on social media, tell someone what you love about a local business and Dec 10, contact an organization you are interested in learning more about and possibly volunteering with.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Dec 11 the challenge is to surprise someone with a coffee or treat and Dec 12, the challenge is to learn about local churches and ways you can add to their ministry.

TODAY: Today is National Brownie Day and Pretend to Be a Time Traveler Day. Any day is a good day to bake brownies or pick some up from a local establishment.
Meanwhile, Pretend to Be a Time Traveler Day fits well with the weekend, when shoppers can enjoy Bradford’s Old Fashioned Christmas while picking up those gifts you need for loved ones.
