PITTSBURGH — Nominations are now open for the Small Business Administration’s national and district-level Small Business Week awards, including the Small Business Person of the Year.
State and local winners will be honored during National Small Business Week, held annually during the first week of May.

The SBA Awards given in celebration of National and District Small Business Week include the following: Small Business Person of the Year (National and District), Small Business Exporter (National and District), and Veteran-Owned Small Business Person of the Year (Local Award Only).
SBA Western Pennsylvania District Director Dr. Kelly Hunt believes the pandemic reinforced just how much small businesses are appreciated. “There’s no better way to honor that entrepreneur who consistently stands out for their dedication, innovation and superior customer and community service than with an SBA nomination,” she added.
All nominations must be received by electronic submission ONLY (mail-in applications will not be accepted) to the SBA Western Pa District office BOX account<https://www.sba.gov/offices/district/pa/pittsburgh>. Deadline for submission is 3 p.m. Jan. 11, 2022.
