The Rising Leaders of Bradford will be celebrating four years of networking, volunteer opportunities and supporting Bradford’s next generation of leaders next month.
The community is invited to join the board of directors and members at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Old Post Office building to celebrate.
Since 2018, the group has a mission to promote and enhance the vitality of the Bradford Area, by creating a strong community culture for young professionals. Events like Leadership Development Workshops, Town-wide Scavenger Hunts, and the BRMC Covid Relief Fundraiser, have aided the Bradford community and helped to elevate our young leader’s role in the redevelopment of the region.
This event is a celebration of the work of many individuals, local businesses and the region. RISE is hopeful to increase its membership and visibility to the future leaders working and/or living in Bradford.
Prospective members are encouraged to join the RISE celebration on Dec. 2 to learn about what motivates RISE members.
Current member Grant Duke stated, “I joined Rise to benefit Bradford. With a high percentage of the older population retiring within our community, I joined Rise to be a part of an organization which strengthens the new, up and coming, generation in becoming competent individuals, efficient collaborators and pillars of the Bradford community. I think it’s important for younger business-oriented folks to experience being on a board of an organization and RISE is a great introduction to that world.”
In addition to the anniversary celebration, the 2022 Board of Directors will be announced. Beverages will be provided free of charge thanks to Allegany Beverage and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
This event is open and free to the public. RSVP to Angelique Newhouse at 814-367-4241.
