LEWIS RUN — At 9:53 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Lewis Run Station were dispatched to a residence in Eldred for a medical emergency.
According to Lewis Run-based state police, both victims — a 51 year old female and a 53 year old male — were located deceased in their residence upon the arrival of emergency responders.
Police reports indicate the deaths appeared to be from accidental causes due to suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
Agencies assisting the State Police on scene were the Eldred Borough Volunteer Fire Department, Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Department, Eldred Ambulance services, Port Allegany Ambulance services, McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, Chief Deputy Coroner Martin Henneman and UGI Utilities.
