COUDERSPORT — Coudersport-based state police are looking for the person responsible for causing $13,000 in damages to the fiber optic cable from Trico Connections.
At 10:36 a.m. Nov. 1, someone caused damage to the cable in Sylvania Township, Potter County.

LEWIS RUN — A Bradford man has been jailed after a traffic stop Monday showed he was driving under the influence and had a firearm with a scratched off serial number.
Lewis Run-based state police said a car driven by Kenneth Bell, 25, was stopped for a summary traffic violation. Upon further investigation, police found that Bell was DUI, was in possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Bell did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, police said.
He was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and remanded to jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 17.
LEWIS RUN — Two people had minor injuries after a two-car crash at the intersection of Westerberg Way and Hemlock Avenue in Wetmore Township at 3:06 p.m. Sunday.
Lewis Run based state police said a sport-utility vehicle driven by Amari Foster, 23, of Rochester, N.Y., was stopped facing east on Hemlock Avenue. A car driven by Craig Storrar, 62, of Wilcox, was traveling south on Route 321. The SUV attempted to turn left onto Route 321 and struck the side of the car, causing disabling damage to both vehicles.
Both drivers and a passenger in Foster’s SUV — James Hagler, 30, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. — were wearing seatbelts. Foster and Hagler were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for evaluation of minor injuries. Storrar was not injured.
Assisting on the scene were Kane Volunteer Fire Department, Wilcox Volunteer Fire Department, Kane police, and two towing companies.
RIDGWAY — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at 12:53 p.m. Monday on Main Street in Fox Township at its intersection with Skyline Drive.
Ridgway-based state police said a small sport-utility vehicle driven by Diane Shields, 57, of St. Marys was stopped at a stop sign at Irishtown Road and Main Street in Kersey waiting to turn left. A tractor-trailer driven by Randy Bart, 64, of Brockway, was traveling north on Main Street. Shields failed to see the truck and pulled into its path, striking the truck in the driver’s door.
Both Shields and a passenger in her SUV, Marlene Maholtz, 83, of Kersey, were injured and were taken to Penn Highlands Elk for evaluation and treatment.
The SUV had disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The truck had minor damage.
Police said Shields was cited for the crash.
