More than 60 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the region as of Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had total of 5,173 cases as of Friday, an increase of 31 cases from one day earlier and of 152 cases from a week earlier. In a month’s time, there have been 772 new cases and 13 deaths, for a total of 89.
As for the younger population, from Oct. 20 to 26, there were 33 school-aged children in McKean County with COVID, for a total of 278 since August. There have been 37 children from birth to age 4 who have had COVID since August, the health department reported.
A total of 42.6% of people in McKean County are fully covered by vaccine, according to the health department.
Elk County had a total of 4,148 cases of COVID as of Friday, an increase of 12 cases from the prior day and of 120 cases from a week ago. In a month’s time, there have been 555 cases and 7 deaths, for a total of 56.
From Oct. 20 to 26, there were 11 school-aged children with COVID for a total of 184 since August. There have been 39 children from birth to age 4 who have had COVID since August.
There were 56.5% of people in Elk County who are fully covered by vaccine, the health department noted.
As of Friday, Potter County had a total of 1,893 cases, an increase of 16 cases from the prior day and 53 from a week ago. In a month’s time, there have been 355 new cases and 18 deaths for a total of 47. There have been 7 school-aged children with COVID in the past week, and 130 since August. There have been 26 children from birth to age 4 who have had COVID since August.
There were 34.7% of people in the county who are fully covered by vaccine, according to the health department.
Cameron County had a total of 508 cases as of Friday, an increase of 4 cases from the prior day and of 21 cases from a week earlier. In a month’s time, there have been 88 new cases and one death for a total of 11.
There have been 35 school-aged children with COVID since August.
There are 55.3% of people in the county who are fully covered by vaccine.
