RENOVO — Cameron County got back in the win column on the back of Dylan Rieder, beating Bucktail on the road.
Rieder carried the ball 25 times for 172 yards, or 65 percent of the Red Raiders’ offense. He also ran for two touchdowns, the first was a five-yard dive near the goal line. The second was a 36-yard scamper that iced the game in the third quarter. Maddox Baughman didn’t throw for much yardage but he did toss a two-point conversion and ran in a touchdown at the goal line.
Landon Farren and Kyle Earle led CC with four tackles each, while Earle harassed Bucktail quarterbacks all night with two sacks.
Zach Pick led Bucktail with 18 rushing yards on seven carries, while also leading the team in passing with 17-yards, after a trick play. Tanner Pettingill racked up seven tackles, the most of any player on the night, and a tackle for loss. His teammate, Ashton Intallura, had six tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss.
