BOYS SOCCER
Erie 6, Bradford 0
ERIE — A speedy Erie boys soccer team overpowered Bradford, 6-0, in the Owls’ final regular season tune-up.
“They came out with a lot of energy and speed and we just didn’t match their energy,” Bradford coach Wes Lohrman said. “We weren’t hitting our marks, we were standing behind the ball and weren’t moving off the ball to generate any build up.”
Tristan Dragoone made 13 saves in goal for Bradford while Alex Rimer made four stops.
With the regular season now behind them, the Owls will await word on where they’ll play their first District 9 Class 3A postseason game. Clearfield and DuBois await as potential opponents, but Bradford will not learn when, or whom, it will play until later in the week.
In the meantime, Lohrman’s squad will aim to tighten up some weak spots, and will
“As much time on the turf as we can,” Lohrman said. We need to do a better job with our passing and a better job moving up the field as a unit. We were too disjointed tonight and we allowed (Erie) to take advantage of that.”
Bradford’s junior varsity game against Erie ended in a 0-0 tie.
