HOWARD — U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson will host a telephone townhall at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 26 with an expert from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to answer questions seniors may have about Medicare Open Enrollment.
Friday marked the start of open enrollment, the annual period where Americans can sign up for Medicare or make changes to their plans, and it ends Dec. 7.
“During Medicare Open Enrollment, seniors can sign up for or review their current Medicare plan and possibly save money or have more efficient coverage,” Thompson said.
He encouraged seniors to review their health plans and sign up for the session if they have questions.
Individuals can register by calling Thompson’s Washington office at (202) 225-5121 or visiting thompson.house.gov.
