A crowd of sharply dressed area residents browsed multiple tables at the Pennhills Club Thursday evening during the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Autumn Auction. The tables boasted both Autumn decorations and donated items such as beautiful works of art, Case knives, Zippo lighters, antique dolls, furniture, home decor and gift certificates to be auctioned off.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude to all of our businesses and community members who donated items for this year’s auction,” said Heidi Scrivo-Passmore, executive director of BACC. “It was nice to have the community gather together for a fun evening out.”

The event, which began at 5:30 p.m, was host to a wide variety of activities, including a live auction, silent auction, ticket auctions, 50/50 drawings, door prizes, dessert and food service with a cash bar. Live music was performed during the event by Jim Ronan, while local celebrity auctioneer Tim Asinger of Kessel Construction conducted the live auction.

The event not only raised funds for future BACC efforts, it also served as a platform for Chamber members and the community to come together safely and network.

“We were honored to graciously host this year’s Chamber auction event at the Pennhills Club. Being that Covid-19 is still a threat this year, we were glad to provide enough room for everyone to spread out while still enjoying the event and each other’s company,” said Norm Strotman, board president of the Pennhills Club.

While Scrivo-Passmore expressed gratitude to the individuals, community members and businesses who donated items and their time to this year’s event Barb Kervin, vice president of BACC, focused her gratitude on those in attendance.

“We couldn’t do this event without the community and individuals who attend. While we appreciate all of the donations, it is easy for people to forget that the people who attend this event are far more important — we wouldn’t be able to have this event without them,” said Kervin.
