A Bradford pair will face burglary and related charges in McKean County Court.
Charges were bound over to court against Kylie J. McLaughlin, 26, and co-defendant Joshua D. Goodnote-Miller, following hearings Wednesday before District Judge Rich Luther.
Both are charged with criminal conspiracy — burglary (no person present), a second-degree felony; criminal conspiracy — theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree felony; receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony; and criminal mischief — damage property, a third-degree misdemeanor. Miller was also charged with two summary offenses.
According to the criminal complaint, on Aug. 2, Bradford Township Police were called to Universal Well Services for a reported burglary. Sometime between July 13 and Aug. 2, McLaughlin and Miller broke into the facility, stole 87 commercial batteries and an unknown length of copper pipe. Universal employees also said the main gate padlock had been cut, a key lockbox had been smashed and the facility key stolen, and a commercial window and door were damaged.
The two allegedly sold the stolen items to recycling facilities in the area.
Both remain jailed on $50,000 bail each.
A Bradford woman will face a preliminary hearing Oct. 20 for an allegation of stalking.
Doreather Louise Skaggs, 49, is charged with one count of stalking, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, between Aug. 27 and Sept. 4, Skaggs repeatedly threatened a woman, showed up at her residence and sent her unwanted text messages.
Skaggs was arraigned Sept. 27 before District Judge Dom Cercone and released on unsecured bail. Her preliminary hearing in the case is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 20 before Cercone.
A Shinglehouse woman waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Dom Cercone on allegations of welfare fraud.
Mariah Dailey, 38, of 2274 Bells Run Road, is charged with one count of fraudulently obtaining SNAP benefits and one count of fraudulently obtaining medical assistance, both third-degree felonies.
According to the criminal complaint, from Sept. 1, 2017, to April 30, 2019, Dailey failed to report her husband’s income, and made false statements on applications for benefits review for SNAP and for heating assistance. The total amount of overpayment was $32,125.10, the complaint alleged.
Dailey is free on unsecured bail.
