To learn how to play the game of Chess or to improve your game, visit the Bradford Knights’ Chess Club at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at School Street Elementary.
All students in grades 3 through 12 are invited to join the scholastic chess program. Players should register at the door. Please use the lower North Center Street entrance. The club meets in the School Street Elementary cafeteria each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.
The 31st annual Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League will begin Nov. 3 and run through Feb. 23.
Many activities are scheduled, including pizza parties, matches and tournaments.
On Nov. 3, the club will hold their annual quick chess championship. The season will end Feb. 23, with a pizza party followed by awards.
The Pennsylvania State Scholastic Championships are scheduled for March 4 through 6, in Gettysburg.
