RECOMMENDED READING: An Era reader shared a recommended book list for college-bound students that they received as they entered the 10th grade. This was “some years ago,” according to the attached note. However, some of the book titles remain recognizable to those who have more recently made their way through high school.
According to the list, which is from Literary Cavalcade, “It is not likely that even the most voracious reader will get through this entire list, but if you’re a high school sophomore you should have time to read at least 75 of these before arriving at college.” The list states a junior could read 50 and a senior should “find as much time as possible for reading.”
