The Women’s Giving Circle of McKean County was established in 2019 as a project of the McKean County Community Foundation.
WGC grant applications for this year are available now, with a deadline for submission by Oct. 1. Applications can be found on the McKean County Community Foundation website at https://mckeancountyfoundation.org/womens-giving-circle-mission-history/.
Eligible grant awards will be limited to nonprofit organizations with current 501 © (3) status, as well as schools and municipalities who serve the residents of McKean County. Requests must not duplicate the work of other local organizations, and must reflect sustainability and/or other ongoing support. The total granting dollars available for this granting cycle will be a minimum of $6,750. Awards will be given up to $2,000. Some grants that are awarded may be less than the amount requested.
Top grant applications will be presented to the full membership at its annual meeting in the fall. The first year grant winners in 2020 were: Big Brothers Big Sister of McKean County, CASA of McKean County, the Lutheran Home at Kane, Mr. Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trail Club and McKean County Early Intervention.
