Open Arms Church of Bradford will be holding a baptism service on Sunday.
The service is set to begin at 10 a.m. at Kinzua Beach, located on Forest Road 617 in Mead Township, between Bradford and Warren. The event will feature music and an inspirational message preceding the baptism. Following the service, a cookout lunch will be served, and attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to pass.
Pastor Zoe Hatcher said that the church is excited to resume its annual tradition of baptismal services at Kinzua Beach after the COVID-19 pandemic prevented them from doing so last year.
“We decided to hold our entire worship service at the beach this year to try something new,” she said. “We are embracing new ways to worship together as a church family out in nature.”
Hatcher said that members of Open Arms’ Port Allegany campus will also be in attendance.
