A Bradford woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly walked into someone’s apartment and took multiple items.
Amanda S. Harris, 29, of 108 E. Main St., was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of burglary, a first-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, second-degree misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaint, on May 28, Bradford City Police were contacted to talk to the alleged victim about a theft report. The victim had footage from a ring doorbell camera that showed Harris allegedly entering the victim’s South Avenue apartment.
Court records outlined what the video showed: at 9:48 a.m. May 28, Harris entered the apartment wearing a short-sleeved shirt and carrying a gray shopping bag; at 10:39 a.m., she exited the apartment wearing a white Adidas sweatshirt and carrying a pink duffle bag.
The sweatshirt and duffle bag both belonged to the victim and were valued at $102, the complaint stated.
Four children and a baby sitter were at the apartment at the time of the alleged theft, according to court records.
Harris is in McKean County Jail in lieu of 10% of $2,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for July 14.
