GALETON — Two Galeton High School students have been awarded scholarships from the John J. Kramer Family Galeton Charitable Trust. The 2021 scholarships totaled $17,200 with each student being awarded $8,600.
This year’s recipients are Hunter Beck and Danielle Claycomb.
Beck, son of Donald and Lisa Beck, plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania majoring in cyber security. Claycomb, daughter of Daniel Claycomb and Amanda Jordan, plans to attend Shippensburg University majoring in sustainability.
The John J. Kramer Family Galeton Charitable Trust scholarship is given annually from a trust established in 2013 by a former Galeton resident, John J. Kramer. Kramer’s intent was to provide scholarships to well-deserving Galeton High School graduates who pursue higher education at colleges, universities or trade schools with preference being given to those pursuing studies in the fields of the sciences and engineering, including mathematics and medical related studies, education and technical schools.
