SMETHPORT — At the county commissioners’ meeting Tuesday, Commissioner Carol Duffy said the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, which has partnered with two other groups, will hold a visioning session today for McKean County residents to provide input for a new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy and Resiliency Plan.

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at the Kane Area Community Center.

North Central has worked closely with Atlas Community Studio, a firm specializing in strategic planning and place-based economic development, and Broad Ripple Strategies to build a strategy-driven plan for regional economic development.

Responding to a changed economic landscape caused by COVID-19, the new CEDS and Resiliency Plan will address the region’s development and strategize short-term recovery as well as long-term recovery.
