Things are returning to normal as the coronavirus pandemic wanes, and for some that means re-entering the workforce.
For example, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. will hold open interviews on June 22 and 29, seeking new staff. The interviews will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held at the PA CareerLink(R) Bradford office.
For those who are looking for a job but need help updating a resume or prepping for an interview, there is plenty of time to stop by Careerlink and get some assistance with those tasks.
“At PA CareerLink(R) we offer workshops that help job seekers prepare for entering, or re-entering, the workforce. We offer workshops to help job seekers write a cover letter, develop a resume, filling out online application assistance, personal finance classes and more,” said CareerLink Site Administrator Ron Hammersley. “Any job seeker looking for help with resumes or interviewing skills can reach out to the PA CareerLink(R) for assistance.”
There are specific workshops set for those who prefer learning in a small group. Hammersley noted there is a workshop on filling out an online application on Monday and banking and personal finance on Tuesday. Meanwhile, interested parties can join a virtual job club on Thursday and learn to optimize their resume and cover letter and even go through an interviewing skills workshop. It is best to call the office at 844.PACALINK for information on the workshop schedule.
“The office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, stop by to learn about the services we offer. We are the ‘employment office.’ We will do all we can to help those seeking sustainable employment,” Hammersley said. “PA CareerLink(R) has a database of jobs that are available in the region featuring employers that are just waiting to acquire new talent.”
