SMETHPORT — Two men were sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court for charges stemming from allegations they assaulted a man in Bradford and took items from him.
Andrew I. Meadows, 19, of Bradford, will serve seven months to two years in state prison for a charge of robbery-take property by force, a third-degree felony.
Meadows will serve that sentence consecutive to a revocation sentence that he also received on Thursday. For the revocation of a separate theft case, he will serve an additional three months to one year in prison.
Meanwhile, Dylan J. Dinch, 23, of East Smethport, was sentenced to 22 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for two days of time served and one year of consecutive probation. Dinch had pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
Meadows and Dinch are responsible for paying the victim a total of $300.
The criminal complaints filed at the time of their arrest alleged that at 9:58 p.m. Nov. 16, 2019, on Boylston Street, Meadows punched a man a couple of times, causing the man to fall to the ground, then Dinch also punched the man, knocking him unconscious; Meadows then went through the man’s pockets and took a phone and cash.
