Mackenzie Lucas, daughter of A.J. and Teri Lucas, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Current Events Club.

Lucas was a member of the National Honor Society, Student council and the homecoming and prom committees.

Lucas was a four-time letterwinner and a three-time district champion in soccer, as well as two-time MVP and was voted team captain both her junior and senior year. She also was a two-time letterwinner and district champion for track & field and a two-time letterwinner for swimming.

Lucas plans to attend Penn State University and study kinesiology, with a focus in orthopedics.
