WARREN — The USDA Forest Service continues to take steps to safely maintain operations as it responds to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Allegheny National Forest offices remain closed to the public but virtual services (telephone and email) are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m. from the Bradford District Ranger Station and Supervisors Office. Virtual Services are available seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from the Marienville District Ranger Station. Self-service brochures and applications are available 24/7 at the entrances to our offices.
On Monday, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday, virtual services will only be available from the Marienville District Ranger Station.
Customers needing information, permits and maps are invited to call 1-814-723-5150 or email at r9_allegheny_NF@usda.gov during regular business hours for prompt, customer service.
The following permits and applications can be requested by mail or phone:
• ATV/UTV Annual Permits (send a check made out to USDA Forest Service for $35, mail proof of registration, and insurance to the Bradford or Supervisors Offices). For a list of vendors, a form to print and mail or an online option go to Allegheny Recreation Permits.
• Annual Day Use Pass (send a check made out to USDA Forest Service for $55, print and fill out the application found at Allegheny Annual Day Use Pass.
• Firewood Permits (print and fill out the application form found at Allegheny Firewood Permit) and send check made out to USDA Forest Service with application to the Supervisors Office).
• Annual Senior Pass, Lifetime Senior Pass, and other America the Beautiful passes can be purchased online at https://store.usgs.gov/pass or by calling or mailing the Supervisors Office.
• Allegheny National Forest Maps are available for purchase through the mail or online at https://store.usgs.gov.
