SMETHPORT — Summer programming at Hamlin Library will kick off with a Stuffed Animal Sleepover on June 7. Children are invited to bring their stuffed friends or baby dolls to the library between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Upon arrival, the “stuffies” will receive a name tag and have a story read. Their “keepers” will receive a special book mark and sign up for summer reading.
The little friends can be picked up June 8 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., when a slide show and snack will be enjoyed.
The Summer Reading Program, Tails and Tales, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays, beginning June 16. It will be held outside, weather permitting, and mask and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Grab & Go bags with crafts and activities will be available.
Children should be pre-registered by calling 814-887-9262. Children should bring a towel or blanket to sit on.
“Book Walks” will be held on the library lawn, beginning June 14.
Magician/Puppeteer Jeffini will present “Crazy Critters-Animal Tales from Around the World” at 6:30 p.m. on July 8.
Footstomp to Go will be June 18. Lasagna will be on the menu; the cost is $10 per person and must be pre-ordered by June 16.
