Three out of four counties in The Era’s coverage area had new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, as reported by the Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday.
McKean County reported an additional 16 cases for a total of 3,738; 2,885 confirmed and 887 probable. There have been 11,137 negative tests and 71 deaths in the county. No patients are currently hospitalized in McKean County with COVID-19.
Elk County had one additional case for a total of 2,855; 1,573 confirmed and 1,282 probable. There have been 6,476 negative tests and 39 deaths in the county. No patients are currently hospitalized in Elk County with COVID-19.
Potter County had two additional cases for a total of 1,169; 1,026 confirmed and 143 probable. There have been 3,594 negative tests and 23 deaths in the county to date. Two patients are currently hospitalized in Potter County with COVID-19.
Cameron County had no additional cases, staying at 301. The county has had 1,075 negative tests and seven deaths.
As of Sunday, Pennsylvania had 1,003,189 confirmed cases and 192,680 probable cases, for a total of 1,195,869. There have been 4,561,938 negative tests conducted, as well as 27,042 deaths attributed to COVID-19. Statewide, there are 1,261 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, with 293 adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 177 on ventilators.
In regards to vaccines, McKean County has 7,916 residents partially and 8,570 fully covered; Elk County, 1,803 partially and 12,443 fully covered; Potter, 1,276 partially and 3,049 fully covered; and Cameron County, 296 partially and 1,839 fully covered.
Statewide, there have been 5,713,687 partial and 4,469,365 full vaccinations administered, for a total of 10,183,052.
