Cattaraugus County (N.Y.) Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman Friday who was wanted on a warrant out of Foster Township.
Little Angel Goodwill, 46, of 5019 Klawitter Road, Great Valley, was taken into custody at 5:05 p.m. Friday and committed to Cattaraugus County Jail while she waited for further proceedings.
She was arraigned in McKean County Monday afternoon.
According to court records, Goodwill was arraigned before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of possessing a precursor substance with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, a felony; retail theft and hindering apprehension/prosecution, third-degree felonies; possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and nine counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors; two counts of DUI-controlled substance, first-degree misdemeanors; defiant trespass and false identification to law enforcement officer, third-degree misdemeanors; and summary driving while license is suspended or revoked.
At 1:26 p.m. April 9 — the day of the allegations — Foster Township Police were dispatched along with the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department and Bradford City Fire Department to the area near 26 Foster Brook Blvd. for a report of an unconscious female sitting in a vehicle, Foster Township Police reported on the day of the call.
When one of the officers made contact with the woman — Goodwill — she woke up and provided a false name. However, the officer recognized her real identity and knew that she was wanted in Foster Township on a felony warrant, according to police.
Goodwill refused medical treatment but was later transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a blood draw, as police suspected that she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police also obtained a search warrant for her vehicle. They allege that the search yielded not only drugs and drug paraphernalia, but also several hundred dollars worth of merchandise they believe to be stolen from Walmart.
Goodwill was arraigned that day on a previous case and committed to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. She posted bail April 22.
On Monday, she was committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing on the new charges is set for Wednesday.
