A Friendship, N.Y., man was taken into custody Wednesday after police determined he was a fugitive from justice in Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday, Amity, N.Y.-based state police pulled over Daniel J. O’Dell, 25, of Friendship, on Route 275 in the town of Friendship. During the traffic stop, they determined there was an outstanding warrant for O’Dell in Pennsylvania, police stated.
O’Dell was arraigned in Friendship Town Court and committed to Allegany County Jail. He is being held without bail waiting for extradition, according to police.
Police did not provide further information about the warrant, but court records indicate that O’Dell is facing burglary charges in Potter County.
According to court records, he is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespassing, a second-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking, a first-degree misdemeanor; criminal trespass-damage property, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of trespassing by motor vehicle and trespassing by motor vehicle-private road/driveway.
The offense date is listed as May 5, and the allegations are from Harrison Township.
