AUSTIN — Spend some time outdoors watching eagles, listening to songbirds and frogs, or learning about aquatic habitats this weekend at Sinnemahoning State Park.
The park is hosting a number of programs Saturday and Sunday.
• Warblers in the Woods will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Take a walk with the park educator to learn about spring bird migration and how to use mobile apps to identify bird calls.
All ages and beginners welcome. Hike will be 1-2 miles over mostly level terrain. Bring water. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Meet in front of the Wildlife Center.
• Eagle Nest Watch will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday. The baby eagles are almost as big as their parents! View the nest action live through binoculars or high-powered scope with the help of park staff and volunteers. Great for all ages.
The event will be cancelled if it rains. Meet at the Wildlife Viewing Area, 1 mile north of the Wildlife Center.
• Fun with Frogs: DiscoverE Program will be held from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the 40 Maples Day Use Area. Participants will learn more about frogs, toads and the habitats they live in. This free program is intended for families with children ages 4-12.
• Campground Movie: Race Against Time will be held from 8:30-9 p.m. Saturday. Grab a snack and race to the amphitheater to enjoy a 30-minute nature video about vernal ponds and the plants and animals that live there. The event is open to everyone. It will be cancelled if it rains.
• Group Tours of the Stevenson Dam will take place at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday. Advanced reservations are required and are limited to family groups of 8-12 people.

To comply with current COVID-19 regulations, until further notice, all programs at Sinnemahoning State Park will be held outdoors, will be limited in group size, and will follow social-distancing guidelines.
All participants must have a face mask in their possession and wear it at times when social distancing cannot be maintained.
