Take Off Pounds Sensibly #16 met at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The First Presbyterian Church at 54 E. Corydon St.
The meeting was called to order by Leader Vickie Johnson with the TOPS and KOPS pledge. The song was “Take Me Out to the Bakery” to the tune of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
Weight Recorder Carole VanSickle and Assistant Weight Recorder Barb Smead weighed in 16 members.
Best Loser in Waiting is Elaine Harris, and Officer of the Week is Carole VanSickle.
The secretary’s report was by Dianna Lewis.
Household tips were by Chris McCracken, the fashion tip by Dianne Lewis, healthy tips by Elaine Harris and the joke by Jeannie Miller.
The Food chart was won by Carole VanSickle.
Food to Avoid is candy. The fruit is oranges and the vegetable is green beans. Nickelodeon is pies.
The Bingo Game was won by Virginia. Weekly phone buddies were picked for the week. A new points contest was started for next week .
The program was by Elaine Harris and Theresa Bond, and they each read an article.
A business meeting was held.
The meeting was adjourned with the Friendship Circle and the TOPS Prayer.

The Zonta Club of Bradford held its Service Awards Luncheon Wednesday at The Bradford Club. The meeting was also held virtually for members unable to attend in person.
Club President Fran Stewart opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Zonta Blessing. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Stewart presented the nominees for open office and board positions.The club voted and approved Holly Puglio, vice president, one-year term; Kim Proper, board member, one-year term; Karen Cassin, board member, two-year term; and Ronda Skoken, board member, two-year term.
Sandy Green, service committee co-chair, led the presentation of Service Awards. Each of the four organizations were recognized and presented with a $250 check to support their efforts.
Patti DeFrank presented the award to CARE for Children. CARE’s mission is improving the lives of children of all abilities. Val Coast, finance manager, accepted the donation for CARE for Children.
Joan Piscitelli presented the award to CASA. CASA supports the local court by providing advocates for abused or neglected children. Suzy Meyer-Page, a member of Zonta Club who serves on the Service Committee and is the executive director of CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates of McKean County — accepted the award.
Holly Puglio presented the award to Destinations-Bradford. Destinations is a non-denominational, faith-based organization that helps feed the hungry, house the homeless, and is a resource for all who are in need. David Livingston, executive director of Destinations, accepted the award.
Suzy Meyer-Page resented the award to the Arts Department Fundraiser. Patty Colosimo, director of arts programming at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, accepted the award. The Arts department held a “food raiser” to support the Friendship table in Bradford. Zonta is pleased to be part of this fundraiser and give a financial donation to the Friendship Table.
Sandy Green closed by thanking all of the organizations for providing much needed services in Bradford and the surrounding communities.
The club collected $9 in Happy Dollars. The next meeting will be held virtually at 6 p.m. May 25. President Fran Stewart adjourned the meeting.
