A felony robbery case against an Eldred woman was bound to McKean County Court at a hearing Tuesday before District Judge William Todd, according to court records.
A misdemeanor theft case again same woman — Brittany D. Mitchell, 32 — was dismissed.
Mitchell is charged with conspiracy-robbery, a second-degree felony; conspiracy-sell controlled substance represented as a controlled substance and conspiracy-possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, felonies; criminal use of a communication facility and conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking, third-degree felonies.
The criminal complaint alleges that Mitchell, Anthony Reynolds and Douglas S. Walczak Jr. were involved in a plan to sell one pound of fake methamphetamine to Daniel Roach in exchange for $10,000.
Meanwhile, Roach has a case pending for allegations that he fired a revolver in response to learning about the bad drug deal, the criminal complaint states.
Reynolds and Walczak both waived preliminary hearings in April, and they are incarcerated pending the resolution of multiple criminal cases. Walczak has a last-day-to-plea conference set for July 1 in McKean County.
In Erie County, Reynolds and Walczak have trials set for June 7, both for drug delivery charges and Walczak for an additional receiving stolen property case. Reynolds has a trial set for Aug. 9 for a robbery case.
Mitchell also faces charges in Erie County, where she will be sentenced May 28 for three criminal cases. According to court records, she pleaded guilty in one case to conspiracy-possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, in a second case to possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and in a third case to access device fraud.
Court records indicate Mitchell is free, having posted a total of $182,000 bail in the four cases.
Roach, who is incarcerated in McKean County Jail, has at least six pending cases, one in Venango County and five in McKean.
In addition to the above firearm case, Roach faces a variety of allegations including running a methamphetamine operation and sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear May 26 in McKean County Court for last-day-to-plea in an attempted escape case.
