All four counties within The Era’s coverage area have new cases as of Tuesday.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there are 29 new cases in the region: 16 new cases in McKean County, five in Elk County, seven in Potter and one new case in Cameron County.
McKean has a total of 3,632 cases, 2,764 confirmed and 868 probable cases. There have been 10,946 negative tests conducted and 69 deaths have been reported.
Elk has a total of 2,832 cases, 1,557 confirmed and 1,275 probable. The county has recorded 6,359 negative tests and 39 deaths as a result of coronavirus.
Potter County has 1,117 total cases, 973 confirmed and 144 probable. There have been 3,517 negative tests conducted and 23 deaths reported in the county.
Cameron County has 294 cases total, 199 confirmed and 95 probable, with 1,056 negative tests conducted. There have been eight deaths due to COVID-19.
Pennsylvania has 989,418 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday afternoon. There are 187,654 probable cases and 4,476,217 negative tests have been conducted. There have been 26,607 deaths due to coronavirus.
In regard to vaccine distribution, Pennsylvania has 9,300,680 vaccines administered; 5,361,202 partial and 3,939,478 full vaccines administered.
In McKean County, Tuesday’s tallies were 7,896 partial and 8,000 full vaccines administered. In Elk County, there have been 2,164 partial vaccines and 11,616 full vaccines administered.
For Potter County, current totals are 1,276 partial and 2,914 full vaccines that have been given to residents, while in Cameron County, totals are at 332 partial vaccines and 1,735 full vaccines administered.
