SMETHPORT — The McKean County commissioners have announced a new funding program to help with the fight against blight throughout McKean County.
The Act 152 grant program will provide both municipal governments and private residents an opportunity to apply for funds for the demolition and disposal of blighted properties. This grant program requires at least a 25% match from the applicant with a maximum grant award of $10,000.
Grant applications are currently being accepted for this grant and are due by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Moving forward, the county will review grant applications in March and June annually.
