PUNXSUTAWNEY — Bradford jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, but Punxsutawney took the lead for good in the bottom half of the inning to earn a second win over the Owls this season.

Mike Gow and Austen Davis each had two hits for the Owls (4-6), but the Chucks were able to contain the Bradford offense, totaling 12 strikeouts.

After plating six runs in the first, Punxsy then added an insurance run in the fourth and sixth innings.

“We’re just going to work hard (today) in practice,” Bradford coach Eric Haynoski said. “We just have to get back on track with four games left this week…I think we can turn it around.”

ELDRED — Otto-Eldred got back in the win column with a five-inning win over Bradford on Senior Night Monday.

Bri Heller and Emmalee Sheeler each recorded two RBI on one hit, while Bri Heller and Kayley Heller each scored two runs. Bri Heller’s hit was a two-run homer in the bottom of the second. Abby Wolfe and Hannah Gordon combined to allow just two hits to go along with seven strikeouts and a walk for the Lady Terrors (12-1).

Adrienne Angell and Leatrice Kakolewski had Bradford’s (0-9) hits, while Angell allowed 11 runs (three earned) on four hits and seven walks to go along with a strikeout.
