There were 26 new cases of COVID-19 in the region as of Thursday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and most of them were in McKean County.
McKean County had 22 more cases of COVID-19 for a total of 3,577, Elk County had three more cases for 2,821; Potter County had one more case for 1,099, and Cameron County’s number remained at 293.
In the state, there were 2,597 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,164,216.
As of Thursday, there were 2,172 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 480 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. Locally, there were four patients hospitalized with COVID-19, with one patient in intensive care in Potter County, but none in McKean or Elk.
As for vaccines, in McKean County, there were 7,811 partially vaccinated and 7,608 fully vaccinated; in Elk, 2,049 partial and 11,021 full; in Potter, 1,195 partial and 2,798 full; and in Cameron, 300 partial and 1,533 full.
