PORT ALLEGANY — Proceeds from the 2021 Port Allegany Wine Walk were donated to the Port Allegany Area Ambulance Service.
Port Allegany Mayor George Riley and his wife Susan presented a check for $5,500 to ambulance service representatives including Kari Stake, president of the PAAS board; Kason Stake; Barry Daugherty, vice president of the board; and Nick Smith, paramedic.
The 2021 Port Allegany Wine Walk was held with the Moose Lodge Family Center as the starting point.
Participating businesses included Baxter Hardware LLC hosting Allegheny Cellars Winery; Port Notary Service (Shirley Johnson) and Kim Nelson, Realtor, hosting the Winery at Wilcox; The Inn on Maple Street with Card Creek Winery; Trails End Realty with Laurel Mountain Winery; Burleson’s Hardware (on the square) with Vern DeLong and Triple Nickel Distillery; and A Stitch in Time Embroidery with Bear Creek Wine.
The Wine Walk participants received a free wine glass from Olson-Tenglund Inc.
