SMETHPORT — Joanne Bly, McKean County court administrator, is retiring.
Bly worked there for 28 years, according to President Judge John Pavlock. He talked about her career during a video conference call Thursday with several county employees.
“She’s kept us all very grounded,” said Pavlock. He explained that Bly has a good personality for the job, calling her “calm” and “persevering.”
“She’s a great coworker and a great friend to all of us,” he said. “We are all going to miss her immensely.”
Over the years, she has handled a number of custodial, criminal and civil matters, according to Pavlock.
“I’ve enjoyed working for all of you,” Bly told the group. “You’re great people.”
She said it was a “challenging, interesting career.”
