On Monday evening Take Off Pounds Sensibly chapter #1704 returned to their weekly meetings.

Doug was the weekly best loser in waiting as well as the officer of the week. Members are to stay clear of any fried foods this week and try to get eight servings of water daily.

During the month of March the chapter lost 10.6 pounds with Silvana being the monthly queen.

The Bradford Area High School Alumni Association held its monthly meeting on April 15 at the Model T Inn, with the agenda focused primarily on the 2021 scholarship awards.

It was decided that four awards will be given this year and the amount of each will be raised to $750, a 50% increase over previous years. The BAHS awards assembly has been scheduled for June 1, but if it doesn’t take place, the association will mail them as was done last year. Applications will be picked up at the school guidance office during the first week in May and read by the selection committee as usual.

A tentative date of June 10 was agreed on for the annual lunch with the students chosen by the group. The next monthly meeting will be May 20, at which time final lunch plans can be announced and awards details finalized.

The annual association banquet will be held Oct. 2, if conditions allow, and members will be updated through the spring and summer.
