Bradford woman charged with resisting arrest
A Bradford woman is facing allegations that she resisted arrest when police officers tried to handcuff her for drug possession allegations.
Misty M. Good, 36, of 41 Main St., Apt. 410, was arraigned Sunday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.
The criminal complaint states that at 1:58 a.m. Sunday, Bradford City Police were dispatched to 41 Main St. for a report of an ex-boyfriend trying to move items into Good’s apartment, and a possible domestic dispute.
At the scene, the officer saw in plain sight in her bedroom a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, another baggie with a white powder that tested positive for fentanyl and a meth pipe, according to the complaint.
An officer tried to arrest her for the drugs, but she sat on the bed and crossed her arms, saying, “No I don’t think so,” the complaint stated. She allegedly pushed herself further onto the bed and struggled as multiple officers tied to get handcuffs on her.
