There were 17 new cases of COVID-19 in the region as of Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had 11 more cases for 3,302; Elk County had 6 more cases for 2,705; and Potter and Cameron counties didn’t change, with 1,015 and 284, respectively.
The health department confirmed that as of Wednesday, there were 5,730 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,087,792.
As for vaccinations, there have been 4,111,182 partial vaccinations administered in the state, and 2,488,948 full vaccinations.
In McKean County, 4,619 partial vaccinations and 5,919 full vaccinations have been administered; in Elk, 2,934 partial and 9,065 full; in Potter, 727 partial and 1,834 full; and Cameron, 465 partial and 1,232 full.
There are 2,541 individuals in Pennsylvania hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 530 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. In McKean County, there were two patients hospitalized with COVID-19, in Elk, two, and in Potter, none.
As of Wednesday, there were 50 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry, reported for a total of 25,522 deaths attributed to COVID-19. In McKean County, there have been 66 deaths; in Elk, 38; in Potter, 23; and in Cameron, 7.
