RIDGWAY — A police incident that prompted the temporary closure of Route 948 (Montmorenci Road) in Ridgway Township was resolved peacefully.
Ridgway-based state police reported on Tuesday that the incident involved an individual experiencing a mental health crisis, and was resolved without injury. The person is currently receiving treatment by mental health specialists, police said.
Montmorenci Road was closed to traffic between Ridgway Borough and Long Level Road. Motorists were told to find alternate travel routes.
The road was opened again as of early Tuesday afternoon.
Police reported that there was no danger to the general public during the incident.
