COUDERSPORT — Coudersport-based state police are investigating the death of a male whose body was found Monday along U.S. Route 6 in Ulysses Township.
Police said the identity of the male is unknown.
According to police, at 5:42 p.m. Monday, troopers were called to an area along Route 6 West for a report of a deceased male lying over an embankment. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
Police did not say if they believe the death was accidental or if there were any suspicious circumstances.
The investigation is ongoing, and police said they will release more information as the investigation allows.
