Police investigating shooting of dog in Potter County

COUDERSPORT — Coudersport-based state police are investigating the shooting death of a dog in Harrison Township, Potter County.

According to police, at 6:51 p.m. Sunday, troopers responded to a report of animal cruelty at 335 Howard Road, Harrison Township. A black-and-white colored walker breed of dog suffered one gunshot wound behind its left ear and died.

The victim is listed as Rhonda Shafer, 51, of Westfield.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Coudersport-based state police at 814-274-8690.
