COUDERSPORT — From noon to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday will be the free “Know Before You Go to Cherry Springs Virtual Program.”
Consider stargazing from the backyard, at a nearby park or going in-person to a dark sky park like Cherry Springs State Park at 4639 Cherry Springs Road, Coudersport, midway between Galeton and Coudersport in Potter County.
This 30-minute online program is for first time and novice stargazers. Park professionals will help registrants get started in observing stars, constellations, planets, the moon, artificial satellites such as the space station, meteors, aurora and even the milky way if the night sky is dark enough.
Also highlighted will be Cherry Springs State Park with information about why it is one of the best places to go for stargazing and what program registrants should know before going in-person to the park to make the most of their visit.
