The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 29 new cases of COVID-19 in the local region on Thursday, while the state topped the one million mark.
There were 19 more cases in Elk County, for a total of 2,483 — 1,318 confirmed 1,165 probable and 5,751 negative tests. In McKean County, there were 8 more cases, for a total of 3,138 — 2,365 confirmed, 773 probable and 10,118 negative tests. Potter County reported one less case, for a total of 975 — 839 confirmed, 136 probable and 3,264 negative tests. Cameron County reported two more cases, for a total of 2,73 — 182 confirmed, 91 probable and 1,009 negative tests.
There were 3,623 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Pennsylvania on Thursday, bringing the total to 1,000,240, with 4,084,343 negative tests and 11,437,711 PCR tests.
As for vaccines, Elk County has 2,662 residents who are partially covered and 7,460 who are fully covered. McKean County has 3,415 partially covered and 3,845 fully covered, Potter County has 988 partially covered and 1,239 fully covered and Cameron County has 592 partially covered and 969 fully covered.
Statewide, there have been 2,990,270 partial vaccines administered and 1,624,667 full vaccinations administered.
Elk County currently has five COVID-19 patients hospitalized, with no patients in intensive care and McKean County, one patient hospitalized with no patients in intensive care. No patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in Potter County.
