The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the local region on Tuesday.
There were 10 new cases in Elk County, for a total of 2,446 — 1,298 confirmed, 1,148 probable and 5,708 negative tests. In McKean County there were 5 new cases, for a total of 3,125 — 2,357 confirmed cases, 768 probable and 10,097 negative tests. Cameron County had 4 new cases, for a total of 271 — 182 confirmed cases, 89 probable and 1,000 negative tests.
Potter County had no new cases.
This is where the death total stands in local counties: McKean County, 65; Elk County, 36; Potter County 22; and Cameron County, 6.
There were 3,515 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, bringing the total to 991,950. There were 39 new deaths reported as of 11:59 p.m. Monday, which brings the state total to 24,828.
Regarding vaccines, Elk County has 2,786 residents who are partially covered and 7,224 who are fully covered. McKean County has 3,483 partially covered and 3,732 fully covered, Potter County has 976 partially covered and 1,203 fully covered, and Cameron County has 660 partially covered and 927 fully covered.
Statewide, there have been 2,849,617 partial vaccines administered and 1,567,127 full vaccinations administered.
There are currently 2 patients hospitalized in Elk County with COVID-19 and 1 patient hospitalized in McKean County.
