The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2432 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2432 Auxiliary will award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who live within a 30-mile radius of Bradford.
Each applicant must submit a 300 word essay on the theme “People Helping People,” which is the motto of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. All essays must be typewritten and include a cover page with the applicant’s name, address, phone number, and parents’ names. The name of the related Eagle or Auxiliary member must appear on the cover sheet, too.
However, names and other identifying features are not to appear on the essay itself.
The applicant must have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who is a current member of the Eagles or its Auxiliary and be attending a two-year, four-year, or trade school.
Applications are available in the Bradford Area High School’s guidance office or at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 45 E. Main St. All completed applications must be received by 8 p.m. on April 23.
They are to be mailed to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2432, 45 Main St., P.O. Box 333, Bradford, PA 16701.
Recipients must be available to attend a presentation reception on Monday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. if it is allowed.
