SMETHPORT — An Emporium woman accused of damaging items in a Port Allegany home received a jail term at her sentencing hearing Thursday in McKean County Court.
Sarah A. Norton, 24, was sentenced to 15 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 15 days of time served and to pay $2,953.36 in restitution for charges of criminal trespassing and criminal mischief. On Jan. 21, Norton pleaded guilty to allegations that on Sept. 27 she entered a Broad Street home in Port Allegany and caused more than $5,000 in damage to items including a laptop, a dresser mirror, walls, a gas grill and more.
Also in court, Dylan Sprester, 19, of Mount Jewett, was sentenced to 18 months of probation for three counts of unlawfully killing/taking big game-closed season. As part of the sentence, he is not allowed to possess a firearm or ammunition. On Feb. 18, Sprester pleaded guilty to allegations that in 2019, he either killed or helped Charles Yocum to transport or kill three deer during the off-season.
Zachariah P. Fink, 42, of Bradford, will serve five years of probation with a period of restrictive sanctions for a charge of DUI-controlled substance.
Robert A. Williams, 22, of Kane, will serve one year of probation for a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a summary charge. Williams pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to allegations that on Sept. 26 he broke into a private parking lot and drove one of the vehicles there without consent of the owner.
John A. Ribble, 39, of Kane, pleaded guilty to charges of receiving stolen property and possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use. According to Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy, in March 2020, Ribble received an iPhone XR knowing it was stolen, and he possessed .44 grams of marijuana for personal use. He will be sentenced April 15.
Michele A. Stilson, 46, of Port Allegany, will serve two years of probation with a period of restrictive sanctions for a charge of DUI-general impairment.
James R. Graves III, 29, of Bradford, will serve 18 months of probation for charges of DUI-general impairment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Tyler J. Robinson, 30, of Bradford, will serve six months of probation with a period of restrictive sanction for a charge of DUI-alcohol.
David W. Elder, 52, of Smethport, will serve six months of probation for a charge of DUI-general impairment.
