Restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic are being reduced and Summer 2021 looks like a good time to plan an event or outing. On that note, save the date because Aug. 26 -29 will be an opportunity to get some fresh air, camp with friends and enjoy impromptu music at Crook Farm.
The Crook Farm Old Time Music Festival, or CROOKTOP, is happening this year 2021 — live and in person, according to officials.
There are some changes in place, however. This year is less about structure and more about the opportunity to be together and enjoy music and the outdoors.
The Country Fair may not draw as many vendors, and the Main Stage won’t include paid musicians.
Instead, a small Open Mic Stage will be set up and a sign-up board will be available for anyone who would like to perform.
There will be no admission fee, although camping donations are accepted.
This year’s focus will be spur of the moment, as there will not be organized dances, jams or workshops.
There will be a workshop area and a sign-up board available. Dancing will be allowed outdoors.
Jam and Song Tents will be available all weekend.
Officials are open to the idea of a potluck on Saturday if participants are interested as well.
