There were 15 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the local area, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported on Tuesday.
This includes 6 each in McKean and Elk counties, 2 in Potter County and 1 in Cameron County.
McKean County has 3,106 total cases: 2,341 confirmed cases, 765 probable cases and 9,995 negative tests. There are 2 new cases in Kane, for 293 confirmed and 86 probable; 2 in Port Allegany, for 210 confirmed and 28 probable; 1 in Bradford, for 992 confirmed and 177 probable; and 1 in Rixford, for 35 confirmed and 7 probable
In Elk County, there are 2,376 total cases: 1,260 confirmed, 1,116 probable, 5,639 negative tests. There are 3 new cases in St. Marys, which has 565 confirmed and 481 probable cases; 2 more in Ridgway, for 282 confirmed and 187 probable; and 2 more in Kersey, for 88 confirmed and 112 probable. The number of cases reported in Johnsonburg went down by 1.
Potter County has a total of 964 cases: 834 confirmed, 130 probable and 3,219 negative tests. There is 1 more case in Coudersport, for 343 confirmed and 46 probable cases; and at 1 more in Roulette — the actual increase was not clear — for 57 confirmed and 5 probable cases. The number reported in Galeton decreased by 1, bringing the count to 61 confirmed and 8 probable.
In Cameron County there are 267 total cases: 179 confirmed, 88 probable and 988 negative tests. The additional case is in Emporium, which has 156 confirmed and 75 probable cases.
There are no new deaths reported in the local area.
Regarding vaccines, the department is reporting that 3,431 people in Elk County are partially covered and 6,120 are fully covered; in McKean County, 3,422 are partially covered and 3,285 are fully covered; in Potter County, 1,048 are partially covered and 961 are fully covered; and in Cameron County, 624 people partially covered and 812 fully covered.
There is 1 person hospitalized in Elk County due to COVID-19. No one is currently hospitalized in McKean or Potter counties with the disease.
Statewide, the Department of Health reported that 2,428,777 partial vaccinations have been administered and 1,306,707 full vaccinations have been administered.
There were 3,119 new cases reported Tuesday in Pennsylvania, for a state total of 970,717. There were 65 more deaths, bringing the total to 24,652 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
