There were 3 new cases in Elk County, bringing the total to 2,370: 1,259 confirmed cases, 1,111 probable cases and 5,637 negative tests. The county had 1 new case each in Weedville (70 confirmed and 44 probable cases), Kersey (88 confirmed and 110 probable cases) and Ridgway (282 confirmed and 185 probable).
Regarding vaccines, there are 3,502 people in Elk County who are partially vaccinated and 6,097 who are fully vaccinated.
In McKean County, there was 1 new case for a total of 3,100: 2,339 confirmed cases, 761 probable cases and 9,988 negative tests. The new case was in Smethport, which now has 295 confirmed and 42 probable cases.
There are 3,527 people in McKean County who are partially vaccinated and 3,237 who are fully vaccinated.
Potter and Cameron counties’ case count totals remained the same on Monday, with 962 and 266, respectively.
There are 658 Cameron County residents who are partially vaccinated and 829 who are fully vaccinated. In Potter County, there are 1,046 who are partially vaccinated and 955 who are fully vaccinated.
There are no new deaths in the local area.
There is currently 1 person each hospitalized in Elk, McKean and Potter counties due to COVID-19.
Statewide, the Department of Health reported 1,914 new cases on Sunday and 1,388 new cases on Monday. This brings the total to 967,598.
There were 14 new COVID-19-related deaths in the state over the past two days, for a total of 24,587.
