The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported a dozen new cases of COVID-19 in the region as of Wednesday.
McKean County had five additional cases for 3,051 total — 2,304 confirmed and 747 probable, with 9,768 negative tests. None of the new cases were readily apparent on Wednesday, which could mean they are in municipalities with fewer than five probable cases where exact numbers are not released.
Elk County had four additional cases for 2,342 total — 1,242 confirmed and 1,100 probable, with 5,516 negative tests. One additional case was reported in St. Marys, for 558 confirmed and 471 probable, and Ridgway had three more for 275 confirmed and 184 probable.
Potter County had three additional cases for 944 total — 822 confirmed, 122 probable and 3,147 negative tests. It was not immediately apparent where the additional cases were located.
Cameron County had no change, with 261 total cases and 969 negative tests.
Regarding vaccines, as of Wednesday, McKean County had administered 2,006 first doses and 2,229 second doses; Elk, 3,912 first and 4,027 second; Potter, 527 first and 572 second; and in Cameron, 745 first and 461 second doses.
As for hospitalizations, the health department reported none in McKean or Potter counties, but five in Elk County.
